About US

Bukit Elephant Park, Phuket

Your journey with us will include a new animal friendly experience with the
elephants through living with them in a peaceful sanctuary. With over two decades of expertise, our team of guides and mahouts prioritize the well-being of our
elephants above all else. We have created a secure haven where they can roam freely, thrive in their natural habitat, and be liberated from chains and exploitation. Any form of cruelty is refrained here. Which is why we do not offer riding or bathing
with elephants. Our mission is to promote responsible and ethical elephant interactions. Join us for an amazing adventure where you can connect with elephants and learn about their incredible stories.

NO Riding NO Bathing

We do not offer elephant bathing due to concerns
for both elephants’ well-being and customers’ safety.
Elephants need their private moments to splash, roll,
and enjoy the mud. They get stressed when humans
join in. Chaining and using hooks are used as
methods to control them, which we do not approve
of. Elephants are our family. We highly cherish and
respect them, so chains and hooks are banned here.
Bathing with elephants is risky to humans too. The
pond is contaminated with elephant’s waste, which is
unsafe and unclean. It is better to let elephants
thrive naturally without human disturbances. Our
aim is to support an ethical, educational, and safe
experience. We hope that you can support our goal
too

Our goals this year

We have recently opened in March 2022 under the name “Bukit Elephant Park”. Our guides and Mahouts are professional and full of knowledge about elephants because they have been working in this field for more than 20 years. Below you will find the story of the history of the elephant park and how we became the new owners. READ MORE

About US

This year we want to maintain our elephant sanctuary to survive from the COVID-19 situation. We aim to be able to afford the expenses as soon as possible. This would be the first objective that we are trying to accomplish. As we have just opened not long ago, we are not well-known among the tourists and travelers in Phuket. Therefore, we are trying extremely hard to broadcast our name to the visitors. There are so many reasons why we really want our sanctuary to survive. READ MORE

Wonderful afternoon spent with people who genuinely care for their elephants. You could see just how relaxed the elephants were in our company and how much the mahout care for them. It was refreshing to see the elephant welfare was put before the amusement of the tourist. We paid a little extra for the coconut milk demo and Thai food. The meal was incredible and the elephants were having a lovely soak in the lake in front of us as we ate. It was nothing short of the best day ever. We're going to visit again before we come home.

Absolutely amazing!!!! The amount of care the Elephants have is beautiful!! They are very well looked after not in captivity, have their own caretaker and the knowledge was phenomenal!! It is not an attraction for money it was a place for the elephants to be free and well looked after.. What a sanctuary should be!! And the money spent goes towards their care!!!!

This is a magical place! I have never seen such love and care to animals. I’m so happy that these abused elephants found peace and such a great place to live. Mahouts and the staff are very friendly and caring to visitors as well. The territory is huge and beautiful and doesn’t even have a fence around. You can watch the elephants enjoying the life and observe them in nature, it’s the best way to get to know these wonderful creatures. Thank you for taking such a good care of them!

Ethical Elephant Sanctuary for rescued elephants. Phenomenal work by the team and extraordinary sincerity to keep the activities in line with declared values of keeping elephants in their real habitat. Every minute of the tour and activities were exciting and interesting. No riding, no forced bathing and no harm whatsoever.

Seeing the elephant in lovely, clean, free environment. The elephants could go into the water holes to bathe as they wished. Their mahouts stayed with them but followed rather than led . There were no chains, hook or bathing. The staff were caring and obviously loved their elephants. We did the half day tour. The quide was lovely and very informative. We enjoyed the cookery and the rubber making demonstrations. Lunch was delicious. I am so pleased we chose this ethical tour.
